Jeremy Parker

Jeremy Parker began his musical career while both studying privately with Bruce Katz and attending UMass Lowell for Electrical Engineering and Sound Recording Technology. For several years, Jeremy was also under the tutelage of jazz guru and educator, Charlie Banacos. Parker is constantly influenced by artists, both new and old, in the genres of jazz, blues, funk, soul, R&B, hip-hop, etc. Jeremy’s roots are in the Boston blues scene with artists like Ricky “King” Russell, the leader of the house band at the original House of Blues. As a founding member of the Freelance Bishops, Parker cut his teeth as a bandleader and composer, generating several albums and many successful regional and national tours. Jeremy has also played with groups like the Royal Family, Two Ton Shoe, M.O. Joe, Akashic Record, Organism, and Headshaft. Nowadays, he’s often working with the B3 Kings, Dwight Ritcher, the Justin Piper Trio, Kit Holiday and the Boston Horns.
